Fifty Five Friggen Features Feckers!

Journal Entry: Sun Aug 19, 2007, 7:20 AM
  • Mood: Excited
  • Listening to: REM: Electorn Blue
  • Playing: Not WoW D:
  • Eating: Nuffin
  • Drinking: Water! :)
Say what?

Well, I have not been doing much of anything at all recently due to schoolwork and WoW :P, but for just over the past year, I've been a naughty little chap, nosing about and suggesting people to have thier inbox ruined, well, I said I would make a journal that listed my victims once I hit 10.. errr 20, actually 50, for once I'm going to stick to this and make the journal.

1

The first one, that I was most giddy about getting..... was taken down when the artist :iconfaolanfarr: left :XD:, I never even got the date of when it happened, so I could not mark an anniversary or anything pointless like that. :P

2

on 2006-04-15
Heay, this one is still around, thankfully and up there as one of the 'coolest' looking successful suggestions I made, the artist :iconneonja: merits a that much attention with almost every submission.

3

on 2006-04-17
Never played the game, but I adored :iconashryn:s work,

4

on 2006-04-30
Holy catfish, :iconmarshroots: is an in-fucking-credible artist, like shooting fish in a barrel. :)

5

on 2006-05-06
Ok, this is noteworthy because not only was it of my first suggestions to someone other than the anthro GD, but it was to :iconaeires: too, a GD I greatly appreciated, you will see many more Digital suggestions from this point on. :)

6

on 2006-06-05
See? I told you so. :)
:iconorin: is another mind-blowingly good digital artist, but also one of the few Irish Anthro fans I've come across so far. :P

7

on 2006-06-18
I loved the colour on this one, and of course :iconfroggiechan: is an artist worth checking out, I would never suggest and artist unless I thought viewers could stand to gain from venturing further into their gallery after the initial attention to the feature. :)

8

on 2006-07-03
Here is another first, 3D this time. I stumbled across this once day and decided to try my luck because of how impressed I was. I also went on ot play this mod for HL2, it is a good mod people, you should try it. Maybe after peeking in on :icondaadaa:s gallery. :)

9

on 2006-07-19
I am proud of all of my successful suggestions and love all the unsuccessful ones just as much, but there are few that make me a little more happier knowing that I helped in giving it more exposure, this being one of them. :iconultravioletbat: is one of my favourite artists out there, she should be yours too! D:

10

on 2006-07-27
More 3D love, charming too. :iconmuck-one:

INTERMISSION

11-20

Wow, this is going to be –a lot- longer than I had thought, oh well, lets get on with the show. :)

11

And we start this sction off with ..... by :iconfreedummy:
Yeah, he took it down. with the rest of his stuff, these things happen I guess. :(

12

on 2006-08-10
Such an aptly named submission, the shading and motion won me over. :iconcryslara: for a good time. :)

13

on 2006-08-11
Another one I am so very proud of suggesting, I worked very hard to get :iconpinkuh: the love her talents deserve, also one of the more impressive Halo fanarts I've seen, sure there are ones out there a lot more epic, but few that leave an impression in your mind like this one does.

14

on 2006-08-15
One thing about some GDs I like is when they take the whole gallery onboard and pick out what they like the best, I prefer to think that DDs are showcases of good artists rather than a display of one particular image.

15

on 2006-08-20
The last DD that I successfully suggested to the old anthro GD :iconneoikeia: stepped down, go to her and give her a hug, she did a good job indeed.
Also rare because this is also an artist who has had DDs in the past, GDs (and I) tend to favour the less well knowns and 'virgins', those without DDs, contrary to popular belief. But if you were to look at the deviation and :iconasemo:s gallery, you can understand why there is little question about it.

16

on 2006-08-27
:icon343guiltyspark: is something else, you really should look at this gallery to understand yourself.

17

on 2006-08-31
THE MOST UNDERAPPRECIATED DD I'VE EVER FUCKING SEEN, YOU SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES
Give :iconmattious: a look god damnit! He is a freaking fantastic comic artist, but I guess black and white does not appeal to the masses as much as it deserves. Same goes for:

18

on 2006-09-03
Comon people! This stuff is fantastic! What is your problem?! :(
:iconguidoarts: has some colourful stuff in his gallery too, if you simply must live off RGB. :P

19

on 2006-09-07
:iconflyingdebris: has been a great artist to watch, his submissions have always been something to love, preference for those who like sci-fi or mech stuff. :)

20

on 2006-09-07
:iconshinerai: took it down though, the thumbs still work. :P
That does not change the quality of his work, and go clickey on his icon, check the gallery out.

INTERMISSION #2 D:

21-30

I'm beginning to giggle at the thought of how long this is going to be....

21

on 2006-09-13
Not too much to say on :iconcabul-noir: except he had it coming.. again I think this is another example of someone with a prior conviction, repeat offender, went right back to the habits of kicking ass and ended up with my sights set on him. Poor lad. :P

22

on 2006-09-16
:icondellay: is one of those people you should probably go to if you want to commission a really cool or sexy looking tattoo design, she very nice too, and something odd I noticed from her feature, the associated images linked in the description got a nice deal of attention too, so it quadruples the happy I got from it. Sometimes it surprises me that nobody featured some artists before I go and suggest them, maybe it should encourage you to do so yourself.

23

on 2006-09-23
Another one taken down, :icondog-star: puts a lot of love into her work, a very solid traditional worker, highly suggested for anthro fans.
... [link] <-- plug. :P

24

on 2006-10-02
This one needs no explanation, :iconpsicoyote:s style I adore, nothing less nothing more, comic fans and anthro alike. :)

25

on 2006-10-15
The expression on this is just absurd enough and the situation random enough to work perfectly, :iconmatsurus: works well with his colours and lack of generics. :)

26

on 2006-10-24
Another Deviation won me over for :icondesten:, but this one caught the GDs attention, not the first time this has happened, which is why it's sometimes helpful to go foe a few angles if the GD does not mind taking onboard multiple submissions in a suggestion. :P

27

on 2006-10-27
:iconjoewight: captured a moment in a way only a comic-style approach could, I may be separated from the true meaning of this by age and nationality, but I can at least attempt to appreciate it.

28

on 2006-11-13
This was by far the most unexpected result of a DD I witnessed, From previous encounters of B&W comics not doing so well, this not only broke the 1k mark, but if you were to look at the traffic :iconjustflyakite: got the days before and ever since, it's amazing.
Go to [link] then look at November 2006.
Or just the year 2006 on [link]

29

on 2006-11-22
The one makes me smile -every time-, no ifs or buts about it.
:icontomcat52897: is guilty of this sort of thing several times, and of course I had to suggest him, work like his should get to as many as people as possible. :D

30

on 2006-12-14
Did one good thing the last day of my teenage years. :P
Believe it or not, I had to try hard to get :iconpsychohazard: featured, but once this was submitted I knew it was a sure thing.

31-40

Almost there! :D

31

on 2006-12-28
This is oozing with style, and a great example of how I have grown to appreciate things like character design and comics in general in a way I did not before I started looking, :iconmmbenya:

32

on 2006-12-28
That did I just tell you? Yeah, not my normal field to play in, but :iconsgwizz: does some stuff that can be universally liked. :)

33

on 2007-01-04
I think this was the month that :iconaeires: wanted to feature nothing but those who had not got one before, the months beforehand normally had 2 or 5 repeat offenders, I went into overdrive finding as many un-featured people as I could to help because it is harder than you think. :P
:iconcarpet-crawler: was a perfect for this, a nice dark turn, a fellow of fantastic fiends, fit for feature! :D

34

on 2007-01-08
I -thought- I was going to be one of the few who loved this... and it ended up getting past 800 faves, I was presentably surprised at how it surprised. :iconmrwipsh: is probably the youngest artist I've suggested, and already kicking ass, watch this guy. :)

35

on 2007-01-09
ITS THOR
VS STAN
...MATRIX SPOOF
COMON! :D
It was nice to help get an artist who mostly does colour work (dear god his colour work is great) featured on their own complete creation, just one ounce of motivation for :iconeraserx: and it's all worth it.

36

on 2007-01-12
There are a few things in :iconflowerzzxu:s gallery that I prefer over this, but I agree with this being featured as it is probably one of the strongest works up at the time. :)

37

on 2007-01-17
A no brainer, high quality work, an original looking dragon, just the tip of the iceberg that is :iconkevcrossley: really. :)

38

on 2007-01-21
This has to be the most pleasant deviations I have ever suggested, but to my surprise, something that did not hit right off the bat, :iconjdillon82: is someone I had tried for feature previous, but in the end it got there, I think I have faved most of her submissions. :D

39

on 2007-01-27
There was little or no anthro activity featured since the GD stepped down, so I took this moment to pounce and have some beautifully coloured anthro work featured, it was under comics of course, but I felt its merits won on both aspects, :iconnaon: does some great work. :)

40

on 2007-02-07
Another thing I have grown to appreciate over the few years was, oddly enough ,the art of children’s art, :iconciclomono: is a pair of artist who can hammer that home for people, it takes something special to do this properly, they have it in my opinion. :)

INTERMISSION #3, I actually took a break here, holy shit this is a lot to type! I have an assignment to work on, I squeeze out 100 works like a dry turd, but there I’ll gladly god 2000 words in about an hour…

41-50

Last group! :D (At the time of the orignal post)

41

on 2007-02-13
Found :icongattadonna: in :iconeraserx:s faves, funny how one thing leads to another, traditional <3 even though I'm digital to the core. :P

42

on 2007-02-17
Found :iconkatiecookie: on :icongattadonna:s page :XD: sometimes it's a chain reaction, this was probably the more funner of all the DDs I've suggested, I loved the movie so out of her enjoyable gallery, this I enjoyed the most. :)

43

on 2007-02-21
Some other GDs are taking on Anthro suggestions now until the position is filled again, I've loved this artist ever since I saw her and adored this particular image the moment I came across it. Thing is, I don't think :iconnevarraven: even knows she go featured, or if she uses that account any more. :(

44

on 2007-02-22
If there was a fight for my favourite success feature, this one would be jumping from a table with a chair in its hands, you can look at this over and over and love every moment of it. Get on over to :iconfiredudewraith:s gallery pronto!

45

on 2007-02-23
What number is this on the "things I've come to appreciate" list?
Structure, layout, colour, character design, scene, setting and story telling, all done here very well if you bother to look, a year ago, I would not of. But that was a year ago. Give respect to :iconjohnnyrocwell: :)

46

on 2007-02-24
I could not overlook the effort and result that :iconnorthwolf: achieved here, I just could not. :)

47

on 2007-02-25
It's good to have the anthro bus running again, innit? :)
Yes, me and the GD had to hone in on which was best in :iconalphaki:s gallery to feature, we ended up agreeing on this, it was the only logical option. :P

48

on 2007-03-16
This is by no means the best submission in :iconpseudo-manitou:s gallery, there are limits and such that GDs like to stick to for some reasons, it is however, a bloody fantastic example of what this guy can do, he is something else and a must for your watch list I say. :)

49

on 2007-03-19
Me first pixel DD suggestion! :D
Sadly, also the last one I got with :iconaeires:, for him again, because he held some bloody high standards with features, and it drove me to have a somewhat keener eye for quality IMO, when the pixel GD stepped down, he took up the baton and :icondaweidawei: was the first thing I threw at him, pixel is a lot more than you might think, give the whole gallery a look. :)

50

on 2007-04-15 (Today)
I am so worn out by now, , I want to sell :iconseyan: some more, but damnit, the image above does a lot of justice, and taking a moment to look at their gallery should do everything else. :P

Ok, This point on it's me updating this entry for any new features and such. :)

51-60

It's been a bit since I made this post, but ironically, I am still tired. D:

51

on 2007-05-06
There are a few other works of :iconxianjaguar:s that I like more than this, which is saying something because I really like this, but this one fits the slot when it come to something featureable. :P

52

on 2007-05-10
UGHHHHHH, you have no IDEA how MUCH I have worked to see this wonderful wonderful artist (:iconillahie:)up on the front page like that, jack of all trades, master of them too, different themes, styles and mediums used in her artistic expression and all done so wonderfully, almost anything would of done.

53

on 2007-07-09
Joooy, :iconcrimsonsacrifice: is such a nifty artist and one of the most deserving of attention from the anthro community, and the image in particular of a character I adore, done in a way that I adore. Send your love to :iconskifi: to encourage him in his new anthro GD position. (And :iconcooley:, another new anthro GD at the time of writing this.) :D

54

on 2007-07-15
This is, by far, one of my favourite images in all of DA, I'll just leave it at that.
I know age should not matter, but the fact that :iconcopperheart: is 16 is one more dimension to the impressive nature of hew work.

55

on 2007-07-20
The description is exactly what I was thinking (because it's word for word my suggestion) and I think that anyone exposed to :iconlizardbeth:s work will have a similar imprint left on them.

Wrap up

Keeping this thing up to date, I noticed that this section was not changed since I made the original post, I am being distracted by other things at the moment, so the time I have to root around the various galleries has been reduced, so has the suggestions I make, however it looks like there is no shortage of people at the moment, so that's a plus. :)

Thank you for your time!

Memetics, I am Tagacus!

Journal Entry: Sat Jan 13, 2007, 10:01 AM

TAGGED!

So, some crazy motherf*cker who will only be refred to as (care to explain those numbers?) has gone and tagged me, because he clearly hates me…

So apparently "Six things about me that nobody probably knows.. "

I doubt that there are things about me that -nobody- knows. There is probably at least one person out there who knows something about whatever I mention

1

I'm still wondering about how my corpse should be handled upon my death. Cremation seems practical because it saves space. I probably want any still functioning organs harvested for use on others ( I’m in your bodeh, maintaining yo life! D: ). But it's not set in stone yet. (I also want a big smiley face on my gravestone if I have one, if there ever was a place you need a smiley face, it's in a graveyard.)

2

I think I have a bad habit of coming up with ideas that are good, but have already been thought of before. I suspect that I may just be remembering various things subconsciously and having them arise again in my mind in the form of ‘original’ ideas.

3

If I ever learn to draw, none of you (bar maybe 1 or 2) will know until I get really good. I feel uncomfortable trying to balance a nagging need to be stupid-honest and still holding some encouraging tact, so I do not wish that on others. I think there are no bad artists, just ones at various stages of a never-ending development.

4

My first name is Brian, and I have been a very naughty boy.

5

I sill go to church consistently every Saturday of the week (Sunday sleep-ins) even though I've been an atheist since I was probably 14 or 15...

6

I make references to movies and shows I've never seen, tell in-jokes I'm not a part of and still manage to hit the target from time to time, however, I will feel mildly dishonest afterwards. XD

Revenge!

Ok ye little feckers! I shall tag 6 of you!
(You may carry this to your FA is you do not wish to do so here)

(You will be active! I command you to!)

Othar Noose

I am currently working towards colouring 2! (OMG) Images, one of em is a dooozie and will probably take a while to finish. So watch this black space!: ' ' .... Wasn’t that entertaining? :D

Wiitard.

Wiitarded

It seems that urban dictionary has the exact definition I was thinking of:

Wiitard
n) Someone who causes damage or injury to them self, other people, or objects by incorrectly operating the controller of a Nintendo Wii. This included forgetting or underestimating one's surroundings while using wide gestures, over exertion, or the inability to keep a firm grasp on the remote and launching it at high speeds.

Billy is such a Wiitard, he pulled a muscle while pitching wildly in WiiSports.

Mandy forgot her family was in the room, acted like a Wiitard and hit her brother in the face.

That Wiitard Tommy let go of his Wii remote while flailing wildly and put it through his TV.

[link] (Give that one the thumbs up!)

This is, as it turns out to be, what my brother is, 3 hours into getting the wii on Christmas Day, he managed to smack the ever-living crap out of the lights (on the ceiling), causing one to blow instantly, and another to go the moment the light was switched on again.
Oh, the game was wii sports tennis, he jumped in the air to return a lob I sent his way.

This leads me to ask in a poll: Have any of you committed or witnessed an act of wiitardidness? [link]

Merry New Year!

Pre empting you feckers on the good will again! HAHAH! This one is for a WHOLE FREAKING YEAR! So you aughta be grateful or I'll cut you like a birthday cake! D:<
Heehee. Another 365 or so days to run trough, here is to hoping that it serves as an anti-suck for the totality of your life experience! Or at least that you come out of 07 the better for the joys and woes you will face. :)

Nintendomination D:

If anyone wishes to know, I don't think I got a single non-Nintendo product for Christmas (bar little novelty presents or cash... which will probably go to buying more Nintendo products)). I've been getting into playing some Mario Kart MP, which is a buncha fun; I'm game to game if anyone is interested. :P
